I am a parent governor on the Local Academy Board. I am currently Vice Chair and have 2 children that attend Childer Thornton.
Each governor in our board is responsible for specific areas. My roles are focused on Quality of Education, EYFS and Safeguarding. I am a Primary school teacher and have taught in EYFS for over 15 years. I have been a leader within my school for a number of years and am passionate about early education and ensuring all children get the best start to life. I am a leader within my school and also a staff governor there too.
I have a wealth of educational experience that I feel I bring to our governing board, ensuring that I provide effective challenge and support where needed to help Childer Thornton be the fantastic school that it is.
As part of my role I plan regular visits to school, liaise with staff and have meetings together. I try to have a close working partnership with school to keep up to date on what is happening.
I am proud to be a governor at Childer Thornton and am proud of our wonderful school.
